Kids can make their own parade float

GREENFIELD — Kids in kindergarten through grade 5 can make their own Thanksgiving Day Parade float from 4 to 5 p.m. Nov. 20, at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Participants will create 3-D floats to celebrate the upcoming holidays. All materials are provided. Sign up for this free event at hcplibrary.org or 317-462-5141, ext. 238. Robots take over the Greenfield library

GREENFIELD — The Greenfield-Central High School Robotics team will demonstrate its award-winning VEX robots from 4 to 5 p.m. Nov. 19, at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade — along with their parents — can learn how the team builds robots for competition, watch them complete a challenge and try driving a robot on their own. Teens can make stockings for a cause

GREENFIELD — Teens in grades 6 through 12 are invited to decorate Christmas stockings from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. The stockings will be given to teens at The Landing, a Greenfield-area teen recovery program, to spread a little holiday cheer. Fabric paint and heat-transfer-vinyl cutouts will be provided. Participants will receive a volunteer letter as proof of service. Any donated stocking-stuffer items would be greatly appreciated.
