Why are you the best candidate for office?

There are four qualified candidates for the New Palestine Town Council. However, my well-honed listening and problem-solving skills set me apart from the other candidates. My wife, Michelle, and I have been very active in our community for nearly three decades. Serving on the school board for 11 years (including two terms as president), my 29 years as a practicing attorney (concentrating in commercial real estate development and litigation) and presiding as judge in several courts, have allowed me to consider differing views while generating creative solutions in the best interest of those to whom I am accountable.

What is the most pressing issue facing New Palestine?

Managing current and future growth is the most pressing issue facing the town of New Palestine. While serving on our local school board, I helped develop a long-term strategic plan that added a new school building, improved facilities, and will renovate and expand the high school, all without a significant increase in taxes. Thoughtful, fiscally responsible strategic planning is a skill I can bring to the town council. I am the general counsel and vice president of Tharp Investments, a local real estate developer, and this, too, makes me uniquely qualified to address the continued growth of New Palestine.
