GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Community Foundation announced that the total amount raised during the 2019 Imagination Library Giving Week is $57,847.
The donations came from local churches, businesses, service groups, schools and individuals during the week of Sept. 16-20. The Imagination Library program, supported locally by the foundation, distributes age-appropriate books to children once a month from birth until they begin school.
The Hancock County Imagination Library has more than 1,600 babies and children enrolled and has distributed more than 30,000 books. It is now only $30,000 away from its $2 million endowment goal.
