Brown’s Chapel plans Trunk or Treat

GREENFIELD — Brown’s Chapel Wesleyan Church will have a Trunk or Treat event from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at the church, 994 N. County Road 600E.

During a Trunk or Treat, church members park their vehicles for children to walk past and receive candy from the (often decorated) car trunks.

The event takes place rain or shine. There will be a hayride (if weather permits), food, games, and lots of candy.

New Palestine church offers Trunk or Treat

NEW PALESTINE — New Palestine United Methodist Church will have a Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at the church, 3565 S. County Road 500W, New Palestine.

The church will block off a section of its parking lot for the event. Come in costume for food, drinks, fellowship and treats.

McCordsville church to serve breakfast

McCORDSVILLE — McCordsville United Methodist Church’s next community breakfast is set for 7:30 to 10 a.m. Oct. 19 at the church, 6247 W. Broadway.

Free-will offerings are accepted from those able to make them.

Chicken noodle dinner is Oct. 26

GREENFIELD — Curry’s Chapel United Methodist Church will serve a chicken noodle dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at the church, 3488 N. County Road 375E, Greenfield.

Study ‘Christianity and World Religions’ coming

GREENFIELD — Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church will play host to a six-week Bible study, “Christianity and World Religions,” by Adam Hamilton. It will start Oct. 30 and will meet each week at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Mt. Lebanon offers chili and a movie

GREENFIELD — Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, will play host to a free chili and movie night on Nov. 17 at the church, 3447 S. State Road 9, Greenfield.

The chili dinner will start at 5:30 p.m. The movie, “The Nativity Story,” will be shown at 6:30 p.m.

This is a free event. The public is invited.

Fall festival set at Heather Hills

CUMBERLAND — Fall Family Fun Fest runs from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 26 at Heather Hills Baptist Church, 1421 N. German Church Road.

Reformation Sunday features music, German food

NEW PALESTINE — Cross of Grace Lutheran Church’s annual Reformation Sunday Music and Octoberfest take place Oct. 27. At 5 p.m. a concert will feature special music by the church’s vocal and bell choirs, other musicians and a hymn sing. This year the church will also dedicate its new grand piano at the event.

At 6 p.m. there’s a party, complete with all kinds of German food and beer.

At 7 p.m. the “Hold ‘em for Haiti” poker and euchre tournament raises money to support mission and ministry in Fondwa, Haiti.
