HANCOCK COUNTY — Officials from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department are still investigating a one car crash that claimed a life Saturday night.
The one vehicle accident happened near the intersection of North 400E and East 300N, Greenfield around 7 p.m. According to an accident report, the car ran off the road, hit a ditch, flipped and ejected both occupants.
One person, who has yet to be identified yet, was killed while a male was taken by ambulance to Methodist Hospital.
When first responders arrived on the scene the male told them he wasn’t driving and he couldn’t locate the other person who had been in the car, a report said. The person was found minutes later and the County’s FACT team was called.
Officials from the Sheriff’s Department said, a preliminary investigation shows the owner of the vehicle and the occupants were from the Indianapolis area.
