INDIANAPOLIS – The Schwier family recently celebrated its 73rd annual reunion attended by 138 family members.
Those in attendance were the descendants of the 10 children of Friedrich W. and Christine M.L. (Rosener) Schwier, whose farm was near New Palestine.
The gathering included a reading of the family history, a pitch-in dinner, children’s games and adult socializing.
Special recognition was given to the oldest family member present – Verna Rosener (age 95) – and the youngest member in attendance – Stella Jo Cohorn (9 weeks).
Family members came from as far away as Georgia to attend.
