Trine University honors local students

ANGOLA — Cole Pierce of Greenfield was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2019 term at Trine University. To earn dean’s list honors, students must complete a minimum of 15 hours and have a grade-point average of 3.500-3.749. Pierce is majoring in biology.

Jennifer Flora and Trenton Roberts, Greenfield, were named to the Trine University president’s list. To earn president’s list honors, students must complete a minimum of 15 hours and have a grade-point average of 3.75-4.00. Flora is majoring in biology, and Roberts is majoring in sports management. DePauw University announces dean’s list

GREENCASTLE — The following local DePauw University students were named to the spring 2019 dean’s list: Michael Sosnowski and Benton Turner from Greenfield; Emily Howard, Clayton Troyer and Emily Troyer from McCordsville; and Mackenzie Jones, Natalie Kehrt and Grace Miles from New Palestine. Defiance College awards degree

Bob Jones University students earn honors

GREENVILLE, South Carolina — The following students are among approximately 540 Bob Jones University students named to the President’s List for high academic achievement during the spring 2019 semester.

Paige Elmer, a junior elementary education major from Fountaintown, and Anna Johnson, a freshman nursing major from Greenfield, were named to the spring 2019 President’s List.

Student graduates from The Citadel

CHARLESTON, South Carolina — Nicholas Wielbruda, McCordsville, earned a business administration degree from The Citadel. Wielbruda graduated during the South Carolina Corps of Cadets commencement ceremony on May 4 in McAlister Field House. William graduates from academy

WEST POINT, New York — Grant Williams, son of Craig and Heather Williams of Greenfield, recently graduated from West Point United States Military Academy.

A member of Mt. Vernon High School’s Class of 2015, Williams majored in military history with an environmental engineering track (minor).

He will be commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Regular Army, as an aviation officer, with his first assignment to Aviation School at Ft. Rucker, Alabama.
