GREENFIELD
Christine “Granny” (Bishop) Jessie, age 88, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. She was born in Centertown, Kentucky on October 21, 1930 to Ralph and Dora B. (Brown) Bishop. She married Homer Jessie on September 4, 1948.
She liked quilting, crocheting, cooking, and solving word searches. Granny most of all loved spending time with her family.
Granny is survived by her son, Jeff (Pattie) Jessie of Greenfield; four grandchildren, Keith (Courtney) Harmon, Stacy Harmon, Amanda (Chris) Stewart, and Luke (Kristen) Jessie; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Dora Bishop; husband, Homer Jessie; daughter, Beth Harmon; and sister, Ella Ree Sorrels.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Pastor Steve Ellis will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
