Cougars open season with victory
Greenfield-Central got its season off on a strong note Thursday at Otter Creek, shooting a 201 to top Columbus East (210) and Whiteland (216).
Caroline Gibson was match medalist with a 43, while Haley Hoagland had a 47. The Cougars are back in action today at the Greensburg Invitational.
Royals fall in opening match
Eastern Hancock began its 2019 season with a narrow loss to Wapahani, falling 207 to 213.
Haleigh Caveletto led the Royals with a 49. Daly Pelger had a 51, Jocelyn Duncan a 55, Shelby Jackson a 58 and Hunter Orr shot a 70.
The Royals play next on Tuesday against North Decatur.
