GREENFIELD — Brandon Lavy is the new pulpit minister at Greenfield Church of Christ, 1380 S. State St. He was recently introduced by the elders and began his duties July 28.
Lavy grew up in Greenfield. He studied political science and psychology at Indiana University and Biblical studies at Sunset International Bible Institute. He has been active with Lads to Leaders and Leaderettes, a youth leadership training program in churches of Christ. He has been preaching in the Bloomington area for the last several years.
Lavy and his wife, Lauren, were married this summer. Lauren Lavy graduated with a master’s degree in French horn performance this spring. They have moved to Greenfield.
"The family here at Greenfield is excited to work with Brandon and Lauren as we continue to do God’s work here in the Greenfield area," church elders said in a press release.
Sunday service times at the church are Bible study, 9:45; morning worship, 10:45; evening Bible study, 6 p.m. A Wednesday Bible study begins at 7 p.m.
