Celebrate Indiana’s "Stranger Things" connection

The Indianapolis Mariott Downtown offers a "Stranger Things" hotel package with show souvenirs to celebrate the program's third season.

INDIANAPOLIS — The third season of Netflix’s hit series “Stranger Things” returns to television on July 4. The show, which takes place in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, features three children who get in over their heads when they discover an alternate dimension they call "the Upside Down."

Although fans cannot actually visit Hawkins, the Indianapolis Mariott Downtown, 350 W. Maryland St., is offering a “Stranger Things” hotel package to fans of the show. The package, offered at $209 a night, includes all eight episodes on Netflix, Hasbro’s official “Stranger Things” card game, a string of Christmas lights, a bed throw and a complimentary mug.

Burger Study, 28 W. Georgia St., offers a “Stranger Things” burger with waffles. Upside Down cocktails are available at Spoke & Steele, 120 Illinois St. Customized macaroons are at the Gallery Pastry Shop, 1101 E. 54th St.
