GREENFIELD — “Shaft,” the 1971 blaxploitation film, sees new life in this 2019 remake staring Samuel L. Jackson as the son of legendary cop John Shaft. When his best friend dies under mysterious circumstances, John Shaft Jr. (Jackson), an FBI cyber security expert, joins forces with his father to scour the streets of Harlem in New York City to uncover the truth about his death.
