HANCOCK COUNTY — There are a couple of Question, Persuade and Refer, or QPR training opportunities open to the public over the next few months.
The suicide prevention training is an educational program designed to teach lay and professional "gatekeepers" the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to respond. The training is delivered in person by certified QPR gatekeeper instructors. The two upcoming training events are set from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 at Adaggios, 5999 W. Memory Lane, Greenfield, and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at Outlook Church, 6531 N 600 W, McCordsville.
