Adult sewing group meets weekly
GREENFIELD — The A Stitch in Time arts workshop meets from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesdays at the Patricia Elmore Center Art Studio, 280 N. Apple St. Each session is $8 for residents and $10 for non-residents. All supplies are provided. Scarlet Lanes presents Bob and Beer
McCORDSVILLE — Join Scarlet Lane Brewing Co., 7724 Depot St., from 5 to 9 p.m. June 8 for a night of abstract painting and beer drinking alongside painting instructor Bob Ross on the big screen. The night is about having fun, drinking some great beer, pretending to be an artist and enjoying friends and neighbors. Bob Ross instructional videos will play throughout the evening. Guests are invited to drop in at their leisure, as a variety of Bob Ross episodes will play through the event. Tickets range from $13 to $22 and are available at scarletlane.simpletix.com. Admission includes painting canvas, an easel, painting supplies and two beer tokens.

Learn the art of glassblowing
INDIANAPOLIS — Participants can learn the art of glass blowing in this glass paperweight workshop from 7 to 10 p.m. June 13 at GRT Hot Glass Studios, 6400 Brookville Road. At this event, students will experience the art of glassblowing first hand by making a one-of-a-kind paperweight. Techniques and skills such as gathering, centering, blocking and marver will be taught along with the use of equipment, tools of the trade and proper shop etiquette.
