Dragons duo fall in tennis tourney
New Palestine’s No. 1 doubles team of seniors Claire Cherry and Josee King wrapped up their high school tennis careers on Saturday, competing in the individual tournament at Fishers.
Cherry and King fell 3-6, 0-6 to Franklin Central sophomores Brooklyn Schiffli and Carly Sobieralski, who went on to win the regional later that day.
Gizzi competes in Junior All-Stars game
New Palestine junior Maximus Gizzi competed in Sunday’s Indiana Junior All-Star game against Kentucky at Mercy Academy in Louisville, a 115-104 win for the hosts.
Gizzi played just shy of 13 minutes, finishing with two points, two assists and one rebound.
