NEW PALESTINE
Mary Patricia (Webb) Draper, age 86, of New Palestine, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. She was born in Knightstown on February 5, 1933 to Charles and Velma (Watson) Webb. She graduated from New Palestine High School in 1951. Pat married Charles H. Draper on June 19, 1951 in New Palestine.
She was a member of New Palestine United Methodist Church. Pat enjoyed birdwatching, reading, writing letters, collecting stamps and playing cards.
She also learned sign language and was very proud to be able to communicate with others, particularly her deaf son. Above all else she cherished spending time with her loving family.
Pat is survived by her daughters, Linda (Dave) Sevier of New Palestine, Kathy (Greg) Spivey of New Palestine, and Laura (Doug) Plummer of West Chester, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Bailey Plummer, Charlie Plummer, Riley Plummer, and Lilly Plummer, Cory Sevier, Brad Sevier, Kara Harrison, Kaitlin Worley, and Dean Spivey; seven great-grandchildren, Natalie, Isia, Kelly, Billy, Henry, Esther, and Lindy; sister, Ruth Charlene (Phil) Wilson of New Palestine; and brother-in-law, Bob Esarey of Shelbyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Bruce Draper; and sister, Janet Esarey.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 4:00 p.m. Reverend Andrew Charnstrom will be officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
