GREENFIELD — What happens when the sun goes down and night falls on the museum? Paintings, sculptures and artifacts come to life as dancers from Wilkerson Dance Studio present the 43rd annual spring showcase, “Night at the Museum.” Performances are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Greenfield-Central High School, 810 N. Broadway. This year’s show features a first act of dances in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, modern and contemporary. Act two introduces a ballet called “Antiquities” featuring seniors Evelyn Fletcher, Abby Phillips, Kenzie Polster, Stephanie Arellano and Logan Uitermarkt as Egyptian gods. Seniors Katie Jackley and Delonie Blake are featured in “Ruby Slippers,” a hip-hop tribute to the Wizard of Oz and its famous slippers displayed at the Smithsonian Museum. Another number showcases more than 50 dancers taking the stage to become the “Terra Cotta Army” statues from China. GREENFIELD — Leadership Hancock County will play host to a Get ‘Cycling Bike Rodeo and Going Green conservation event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Hancock County Courthouse Annex, 111 American Legion Place. Kids can learn about bike safety and put their skills to the test on the Courthouse Plaza and the parking lot south of the annex. The event also features a bounce house, live music from Gus Moon, food trucks from Tyner Pond and BBQ’N Fools, and giveaways. INDIANA — Residents of the Hoosier state do not need a fishing license or a trout and salmon stamp to fish the state’s public waters on Free Fishing Day, Saturday. Parks across the state will offer fishing events on the free fishing dates.
