GREENFIELD — The Friends of Hancock County Public Library will hold its gently used book sale from May 16-20, at the Greenfield location, 900 W. McKenzie Road. In addition to hardback and paperback books, the sale will include audio books, DVDs and CDs.

The sale is members-only on May 16, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., but walk-ins can join the organization for $15 and shop the preview that night. Membership forms are available across from the library circulation desk.

The sale opens to the public from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. May 17, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 18 and 1 to 3:45 p.m. May 19. Most hardbacks cost a dollar, and paperbacks cost 50 cents. Children’s books are 50 cents and 25 cents. DVDs, CDs and audio books are $1.

Bargain day is from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 20. A standard paper grocery bag full of books sells for $3, a plastic grocery bag for $2.

Proceeds from the quarterly book sale fund free concerts and children’s special events.
