GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Toastmasters club is continuing its “Best of…” series.

During the last three months of the Toastmasters year, the club is having two speakers present a speech that they have done before that the others members would like to hear again.

The meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at The First Merchants Bank, 1810 N. State St.

On May 14, Paul Overhauser, local patent and intellectual property attorney, will speak on how patents can provide a steady stream of income; how to spot an invention that needs patent protection and the time and cost for getting a patent.

Josh Horstman, the owner of a statistical analysis company, will also speak at the meeting. His speech will give a brief overview of alternative voting systems that could reduce the “spoiler effect” and better align voting outcomes with the preferences of the electorate.

On May 28, John LaBore will speak on his success with Airbnb, an online hospitality service.

There is no charge to attend. For additional information, contact Meg at [email protected].
