New Pal library plans Harry Potter party

NEW PALESTINE — Take a special trip into the wizarding world of Harry Potter when Hancock County Public Library’s Sugar Creek Branch, 5371 W. U.S. 52, screens “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (rated PG) at 5 p.m. May 16. The party includes making a movie-themed craft, playing Wizard’s Chess, a coloring project and a snack. Ten West Center presents ‘Musicville’

FORTVILLE — Ten West Center for the Arts, 10 W. Church St., presents “Musicville” at 7 p.m. May 17-18 and 2 p.m. May 18-19. “Musicville” takes audience members on an adventure with Maiden Melody and Radical Rhythm as they attempt to save their town from the Sorcerer of Silence. On their quest to the Castle of Composition, they pass through the Desert of Doo-wop, the Ocean of Opera and the Terrible Terrain of Tango as they meet musical friends and foes along the way. Museum launches Cardboard 500

INDIANAPOLIS — This race season, join the newest spectacle in racing at the Indiana State Museum, 650 W. Washington St., from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18. In Cardboard Alley, families can compete to design and build a cardboard body atop a pre-built push cart frame. Then, race to push your creation into the winner’s circle.
