Avengers now in the ‘Endgame’

GREENFIELD — In case you missed it, “The Avengers — Endgame” opened last weekend and is playing on four of the nine screens at Legacy Cinema. To bring you up to speed, “Endgame” picks up where “Infinity War” left off. Super-villain Thanos finally gathered in all six infinity stones and — in a twisted vision to save the planet and its resources — caused half of all living things on Earth to simply evaporate. “Endgame,” five years later, finds a planet still reeling from the grief and chaos caused by the disappearance of four billion people. The Avengers — whose ranks were also depleted by the catastrophe — are a broken collective, each dealing with their failure to defeat Thanos in their own way. But when Ant-Man reappears (not a spoiler, it’s on the trailer), hope builds. “The Avengers — Endgame,” a culmination of 11 years of Marvel movies, is rated PG-13 and is showing at Legacy Cinema, 2347 W. Main St. Visit legacycinema.com for show times.
