Free smoking cessation classes coming up

GREENFIELD — Hancock Health’s Commit to Quit smoking cessation course is offering four free classes over the next month.

The program combines group smoking cessation support meetings and classes with tobacco and related illness education, along with coping skills and stress management. The four-week course meets 6 to 7 p.m. on Mondays at Hancock Regional Hospital, 801 N. State St., Greenfield, and class participants must attend each week.

Commit to Quit uses the American Cancer Society’s Freshstart Program as a guide to conducting the classes.

The upcoming classes are on April 29 and May 6, 13 and 20.
