Local student makes dean’s list at school

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — Mt. Vernon High School graduate Nicole Ratts was named to the winter quarter dean’s list at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. To be included on the dean’s list, undergraduate students must have earned at least 30 credits and have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0). Ratts is majoring in biomedical engineering.

University announces semester dean’s list

TERRE HAUTE — Indiana State University has announced its dean’s list for the fall semester of 2018. To be eligible for the list, students must maintain a cumulative grade- point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Area students making the dean’s list are: Payton Hooten of Fortville; Bryan Ahonen, Laura Cochran, Aubree Cole, Ian Cole, Samuel DeKeyser, Liberty Durham, Kaylee Elsbury, Tyler Farrell, Paige Harker, Danielle Lewis, Liahona Lukens, Casey Phillips, Jackson Sample, Lauren Seib, Dakota Smith, Savanna Sparks, Ethan Sweet, Emily Weber and Connor Whisenand, all of Greenfield; Timothy Clone and Samantha Stettler of McCordsville; Rayna Campbell, Shelbie Hill and Austin Sweet, all of New Palestine; and Samuel Dickey of Wilkinson.

Balbach graduates from university

ALLENDALE, MICHIGAN — Elizabeth A. Balbach, McCordsville, was recently awarded a bachelor of science degree from Grand Valley State University. Also, Balbach was named to the dean’s list. Hays recognized at Golden Bishop Awards

DELAWARE, OH — Ohio Wesleyan University recently presented its 2019 Golden Bishop Awards in recognition of outstanding student achievement in leadership and community service. Dylan Hays of Greenfield was honored with new membership in the President’s Club, an organization tasked with aiding Ohio Wesleyan’s president in supporting and advancing the goals and mission of the university.
