Why are you the best candidate for this position?

I care about the town and the residents; I want to give them a voice in who makes decisions that affect them.

What is the most pressing issue facing Fortville?

Rapid growth, parking, traffic and infrastructure.

What is your stance on the changes proposed for Main Street?

I’m excited to see the changes they are making and agree that the sidewalks need to be replaced, but I’m concerned about how the construction will affect the businesses on Main Street.

How does the town responsibly manage the rapid growth it’s experiencing?

I don’t think they should allow any more restaurants on Main Street, with the parking down there. I don’t like that or the apartment complex they’re going to put on State Road 67. I think it needs to be someplace else. It’s the main street through town. People on the council now say we can’t dictate what goes in; all we can dictate are the standards. If that be the case, then I understand, but those neighbors aren’t happy, and I don’t blame them. Fortville is booming now. People want to come to Fortville, so let’s set our standards a little higher.
