INDIANAPOLIS — The 61st annual Indiana Flower + Patio Show — now through Sunday at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1202 E. 38th St. — showcases gardens designed by some of Indiana’s premier landscapers and presentations from television gardening experts.

Chris Lambton, host of DIY Networks’ “Lawn and Order,” “Yard Crashers” and HGTV’s “Going Yard” with wife Peyton will appear Friday through Sunday. Lambton is an expert in landscaping, hardscaping, garden planning, lawn care and maintenance of outdoor living spaces.

Occupying 4,500 square feet of the show area is the Plant Market, located at the entrances of the West Pavilion and the Expo Hall. Attendees can purchase herbs, seeds, terrariums, cacti, spring annuals, fresh flowers, plants and supplies.

Local designer Liz Henderson will demonstrate how to throw a garden party by focusing on tablescapes to seating arrangements and outdoor lighting.

The Purdue Master Gardener Program trains gardening enthusiasts as volunteers to assist Purdue Extension with home horticulture education in communities throughout Indiana. The Master Gardeners are staffing a booth to discuss lawn care tips and common lawn problems with show attendees.

Cherie Lowe, the Queen of Free, will be on hand to share freebies and strategies for everyday savings along with inspiration for those pursuing a debt-free life. Cherie has appeared on WTHR-TV (Channel 13) as a savings expert, and she’s been featured in The Wall Street Journal and on Yahoo Finance.

Kids will enjoy the Kids Play Zone, featuring equipment from Recreation Unlimited. This area is designed to let the kids play and gives parents a chance to try before making a purchase. Back-yard playsets and a basketball goal will be on display and ready for your kids to explore.

Tickets to the Flower + Patio show are $15 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Show times are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit indianaflowerandpatioshow.com.
