GREENFIELD
Billie J. (Lipps) Rowe, age 75, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at St Vincent Hospital. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky on August 6, 1943 to Henry and Georgia (Bowling) Lipps. She graduated from Clay County High School. Billie married Floyd J. Rowe on April 12, 1970 in Indianapolis.
She was the co-owner of Grace Insulation / Grace Banquet Hall. Billie was a member of Faith Trinity Pentecostal Church in Shelbyville. She enjoyed singing, gardening, and spending time with her grandsons.
Billie is survived by her sons, Shane Rowe and Jason Rowe both of Greenfield; three grandsons, Cyrus Colestock, Gage Rowe, and Degan Rowe; brothers, Tess (Barbara) Lipps and Bobby (Flossie) Lipps; sisters, Ann Sester, Clara (Robert) King, and Patty (Cletus) Cooper; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Georgia Lipps; husband, Floyd Rowe; brother, Pherman “Dud” Lipps; and sisters, Pamela Hounchel and Joyce Hooker.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
