Greenfield heavy trash pickup slated for April
GREENFIELD — The City of Greenfield is planning a two-week program in April to rid city properties of heavy items.
Tyler Rankins, city street commissioner said the 37th annual heavy trash dates are as follows:
April 6 for residents on the east side of State Road 9
April 13 for residents on the west side of State Road 9
Trash will only be picked up inside of the city limits, Rankins said in a news release.
Residents should place items for pick up at the curbside by 7 a.m. each Saturday. No items will be picked up in alleys. The city does not collect heavy trash at businesses, apartment complexes and churches.
Household trash, limbs, tires, oil, batteries, building materials, televisions, computer monitors or other items determined by Rankins will not be picked up during heavy trash Saturdays. Paint will be picked only when it is dry and in open containers.
