Library funding support organization hosts sale

GREENFIELD — The Friends of the Hancock County Public Library will hold its gently-used book sale from Thursday to Monday, March 8-11, at the main branch, 900 W. McKenzie Road. The Friends also offer audio books, DVDs and CDs.

From 6 to 8:30 p.m. on March 7, Friends shop their members-only preview sale. Walk-ins can join the organization at a cost of $15 and shop the preview that night. Pick up a membership form across from the library circulation desk.

The sale opens to the public 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. March 8; 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 9; and 1-3:45 p.m. March 10.

Most hardbacks cost a dollar, and paperbacks cost 50 cents. Children’s books are 50 cents and 25 cents. DVDs, CDs and audio books are $1.

Bargain day is 9 a.m.-7 p.m. March 11. Proceeds fund free concerts and children’s special events. The next donation date is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 18.
