Indiana Historic Preservation seeks submissions for photo contest

INDIANA — The Indiana Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology (DHPA) is asking the public for photos for its annual Historic Preservation Month photo contest. The subject of the photo must be a structure in Indiana that is at least 50 years old. The image must show something that was designed and/or built. Participants should send an 8-by-10-inch matted image, along with the registration form, by April 5 to Historic Preservation Month Photo Contest, Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology, 402 W. Washington St., Room W274, Indianapolis, IN 46204-2739. Limit of three photos per person. For a list of guidelines and the registration form, visit dnr.IN.gov/historic/3994.htm.

Monthly art journaling workshop to meet

INDIANAPOLIS — Join Palette & Paper for the monthly gathering of art journalers from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Palette & Paper, 6421 Oaklandon Road. The instructor will guide participants through several pages using different techniques and highlighting fun products to use in journaling. Quilters Guild of Indianapolis to meet

INDIANAPOLIS — The Quilters Guild of Indianapolis will meet at noon Feb. 28 at Friedens United Church of Christ, 8300 S. Meridian St. Connie Lancaster will present ideas on “Using Leftovers and Finding a Good Quilt Recipe,” followed by Carol Henke’s Color Blue talk.
