G-C principal’s email hacked, police say
GREENFIELD — Greenfield police say someone hacked into the Greenfield-Central High School principal’s email and sent out a threatening message.
The Greenfield Police Department said in a news release it was notified about the threatening email on Monday by the G-C school resource officer.
Officers detained a student, and the investigation is ongoing, according to police.
Jason Cary, the high school’s principal, wrote on Twitter that his email was hacked on Sunday night: “I apologize for all the confusion. The Tech Folks are working hard to get things figured out. I sent an ACTUAL email to all kids, parents, and staff members a few minutes ago.”
