Hope House nears capacity, needs pantry help

GREENFIELD — With 33 people filling the rooms and bunks at Hancock Hope House homeless shelter, 35 E. Pierson St., a food pantry available to residents is emptying its shelves faster than staffers can keep up. 

Hope House staff members said the community pantry, which is food available to all residents, needs sugar, coffee, cooking oil, syrup, canned meals like soup, pastas, etc., and other items.
