NEW CASTLE — New Castle Career Center is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 school year. Applications are now available on our website at nccareercenter.org with more information about all of the 18 programs available. The applications are due March 11.

Additionally, the center will host an open house for prospective students and families from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 29, at New Castle Career Center, 801 Parkview Drive, to meet currently-enrolled students, teachers, staff and administrators.

New Castle Career Center services eight local school corporations including Hancock County. The Career Center and school systems work together to provide skill development opportunities and career exploration for high school juniors and seniors.

Students attend their home high school for half of the day and are enrolled in a three-hour/three-credit career program for the remainder of the day. Most classes are held at New Castle High School in the career programs wing.

The student experience at New Castle Career Center includes hands-on learning, real world projects, customer interaction, industry certification, licensure, dual college credits and career preparation.
