Democrats seeking candidates for races
GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Democratic Party will hold its monthly meeting with a goal of identifying candidates to run in the 2019 election.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the second-floor conference room of Greenfield City Hall, 10 South State St.
Interested residents are welcome to attend and participate. Special committees are being formed to better serve the community and the party.
“We are a diverse and open group seeking to make real change in Hancock County,” said the party chair, Randy Johnson. “2019 is the municipal election year, and we want quality candidates to run for these city and town offices all around Hancock County.”
The filing period for municipal elections began today and ends Feb. 8. People interested in running for city and town offices can file by visiting the election office on the second floor of the Hancock County Courthouse.
