GREENFIELD – The Rocky series, which made its first appearance in 1976, lives on through the son of Rocky’s rival, then friend, Apollo Creed. Creed was killed in a bout against Russian boxing superstar Ivan Drago. In “Creed II,” son Adonis Creed (played by Michael B. Jordan) squares off against Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu), the son of the man who killed his father 20 years before. With Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) as his coach, young Creed and Balboa deal with their shared legacy and learn lessons about what is worth fighting for. Now showing at the Legacy 9, 2347 W. Main St., “Creed II” is rated PG-13.
