GREENFIELD

Helen L. (Narvell) Moore, age 94, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at CrownPointe of Greenfield surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Westland, Indiana on August 26, 1924 to Orville “Pete” and Deloma (Bager) Narvell.

She graduated from Maxwell High School in 1943 and later married Ralph F. Moore on April 13, 1958 in Hancock County.

Helen worked as a group leader for RCA in Indianapolis for over 30 years before retiring. She was a devoted member of Charlottesville United Methodist Church since 1958 and participated in the Women’s Society. She was also very active in her community. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star – Eden Chapter, and she accrued over 6,000 volunteer hours at Hancock Regional Hospital. In her free time, she also enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Helen is survived by her children, Judy (John) Hunt of Carthage, Janet Fleming of Greenfield, Marsha (Russell) White of Greenfield, Sandy (Richard) Robertson of Greenfield, Jim (Nancy) Moore of Sullivan, IL; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Pete and Deloma; husband, Ralph; daughter, Peggy Moore; grandson, Jay Fleming; brother, Beryl Narvell; and sisters, Irene Jackson, Maxine Leonard, and Jo Andrick.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Marianne Nichols will be officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
