‘Legally Blonde’ opens at Footlite

INDIANAPOLIS — Footlite Musical’s production of “Legally Blonde” opens this Friday and runs through Dec. 16 at 1847 N. Alabama St. Elle Woods, a stereotypical blonde, follows the man she loves to Harvard Law School to prove she is smart enough to win him back. Her adventures are told through lively songs with energetic choreography, performed by characters such as hairdresser Paulette Buonafonte, Professor of Law Callahan, fitness guru and murder suspect Brooke Wyndham, law firm intern Emmett Forrest, the Delta Nu Greek Chorus, Elle’s boyfriend Warner, Elle’s cheerleader Greek chorus and Elle herself. ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ plays at Belfry

NOBLESVILLE — The Belfry, 10690 Greenfield Ave., celebrates the holidays with a stage adaptation of Frank Capra’s “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Just before Christmas, George Bailey falls into deep despair with the realization that he has sacrificed all his hopes and dreams in order to help his community. A visit from an angel shows him he is wrong. Directed by New Palestine resident Sam Brown, “It’s a Wonderful Life” plays through Dec. 9.
