GREENFIELD
Patricia F. “Pat” (Godbey) Gant, age 73, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born in Louisville, KY on June 27, 1945 to Herman and Geneva (Cullison) Godbey.
Patricia graduated from Greenfield High School in 1963 and married Raymond Gant on January 17, 1964 in Greenfield.
She was a teacher assistant at Eden Elementary for 25 years. Pat enjoyed traveling, gardening, and shopping. Her family meant everything to her and she adored her grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Gant of Greenfield; sons, Tim (Scott Perry) Gant of Chicago and Tracy (Lisa) Gant of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Paige, Reagan, and Hunter; sisters, Sharon (Richard) Griggs and Dianne (Jerry) Yost both of Greenfield; step-sister, Sharon Crosby of Jonesville, NC; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Geneva Godbey; and step-father, John W. Smith.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Pastor Matt Wickham will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
