GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Election Board certified the results of the 2018 midterm elections Friday. The results of the election announced on election day did not change, officials said.

Approximately 30 provisional ballots were reviewed by the election board prior to certification, said Marcia Moore, the countys clerk and recorder-elect. Provisional ballots are used for voters whose eligibility is in question when cast. Fifteen of these were approved and added to the total vote count, and the rest were thrown out, mostly because of voters who attempted to vote despite not living in Hancock County, Moore said.

After the 15 additional votes were cast, the board unanimously voted to certify the vote as submitted, confirming the results of the midterm election.
