Library offers make-and-take puppet workshop for kids

GREENFIELD — Children in grades 1 through 5 are invited to take part in a puppet-making workshop Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Participants can create a colorful, dancing marionette from recycled supplies. All materials are included. Space is limited. Register to attend at hcplibrary.org.

Turkey-themed art session available through Parks

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Parks and Recreation offers a variety of family-oriented turkey-themed art projects from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Pat Elmore Art Studio, 280 Apple St. Options include making a turkey plaque out of clay, creating turkey art with a pencil and paint, paint and glaze a ceramic turkey trivet or paint a wooden welcome sign. Enjoy a sandwich with Scooby and the gang at local library

GREENFIELD — If you’re familiar with Scooby Doo, then you know sandwiches are one of his favorite foods. Teens are invited to the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, on Nov. 15 from 4 to 5 p.m. to create sandwiches worthy of Scooby himself and enjoy cartoons of him and his human buddies as they solve crimes and escape from bad guys.
