Local student earns honors in livestock judging

EL DORADO, KS — Butler Community College’s champion sophomore team recently competed in the Flint Hills Mid-America Classic Livestock Judging Contest in Hutchinson, Kansas, and the State Fair of Texas event in Dallas.

Wilkinson’s Evan Witte earned 6th overall and 4th on oral reasons at Flint Hills. He earned 10th place in oral reasons and 10th in cattle judging in Texas. Butler Community College’s Livestock Judging Team under Coach Frank Taylor is a back-to-back national champion. For more about Butler Community College, visit butlercc.edu.
