Ruth Etta Willis Loar passed away peacefully at Hancock Regional Hospital on Oct. 19, 2018.
Born in Shirley, IN on Aug. 12, 1933, she was an avid reader of both printed books and mostly recently digital forms.
She worked and lived her adult life in Lawrence, Indiana. Her working career included many years with Regency Electronics and final retiring from Allied Solutions.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harry G. Loar (Indianapolis), father Lester & mother Gladys Willis (Shirley, IN), brothers Bob, Sam and Joe, and sister Eleanor. She is survived by son Matthew Loar, daughter-in-law Barbara (Zionsville), granddaughter Kate (Austin, TX), brothers Roy – Martha (Tucson, AZ), Jerry – Mary (Dayton, OH), Denzil – Marcia (Wilkinson, IN), David – Pat (Peru, IN), Jerome – Karen (Shirley, IN), sister Laura (Indianapolis, IN) and far too many nephews and nieces to mention. Inurnment services will be held at a later date. Entrusted to Indiana Memorial.
