Teens work together to Escape the Library

NEW PALESTINE — Teens ages 12 through 18 can sleuth their way through a haunted, after-hours adventure from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday at the Hancock County Public Library’s Sugar Creek Branch, 5087 W. U.S. Highway 52. Teens discover clues, solve puzzles and scavenge items to find their way out. Pizza and snacks will be provided. Anime drawing class open to teens and pre-teens

GREENFIELD — The Indie Art Studio will offer six-week anime/manga drawing class to students age 10 and up. Classes meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Oct. 23 and run through Nov. 27. The class will cover basic pencil drawing and the human shape as the basis for any style of figure drawing. Over six classes, students will learn about drawing the full body, focusing on the head, face and hands. The course will also cover proportion, posing, facial expressions, drawing materials and the anime/manga style. The final class day will include a live cosplay model. Witch Gertrude haunts the puppet studio

INDIANAPOLIS — Witch Gertrude, Zombie and Drac will be your guides as Peewinkle’s Puppet Studio, at the Indiana State Museum, 650 W. Washington St., presents “The Slightly Haunted Puppet Studio” now through Oct. 29. Puppet performances feature ghosts, a skeleton, an alien and a juggling scarecrow. The $12 ticket price includes free popcorn. For an additional $3, attendees can participate in a post-show puppet workshop. Performance dates are available at peewinklespuppets.org.
