Website now live to apply for federal student aid

INDIANA — The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now live at studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa . Students applying for scholarships that require financial need verification through the Hancock County Community Foundation will need to know their Estimated Family Contribution and Estimated Pell Grant totals from their FAFSA reports in order to complete applications. HCCF is sponsoring FAFSA Workshops for students and parents from 2:00 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at New Palestine High School, 4485 S. Victory Drive, New Palestine; Oct. 30 at Greenfield-Central High School, 810 N. Broadway, Greenfield; Nov. 5 at Mt. Vernon High School, 8112 N. County Road 200 W., Fortville; and Nov. 15 at Eastern Hancock High School, 10320 E. County Road 250 N, Charlottesville. HCCF Scholarship Applications will open Nov. 1 and can be reached by going to the HCCF website at givehcgrowhc.org.
