Piney Acres opens for the fall season on Saturday

FORTVILLE — Saturday is opening day of Piney Acres’ Pumpkin Round-Up. Located at 1115 E. County Road 1000 N., Piney Acres features a gem mine, a bounce zone, animal encounters, a rope maze, an 8-acre corn maze and hayrides. New this year are duck races, an apple cannon, lemon shake-ups and an upgraded menu for snacks or lunch. Admission is $12 per person age 3 and up, $5 for walking toddlers and free for infants. Teens to compare local pizzas at library event

GREENFIELD — Teens in grades 6 through 12 can kick off National Pizza Month from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Art of the Brick opens at Indiana State Museum

INDIANAPOLIS — The Art of the Brick — the Lego brick, that is — opens at the Indiana State Museum, 650 W. Washington St., on Saturday. The exhibit features more than 80 works of art made entirely from Lego bricks. Famous art masterpieces on display include Leonardo Da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa,” Vincent Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” and Michelangelo’s statue of David. In addition to the artwork, the traveling exhibit accommodates creativity among the visitors with an area for building artworks of their own. The Art of the Brick will be at the museum through Jan. 6, and is included in the price of admission. Visit indianamuseum.org for more information.
