Linda’s Gourd Patch Gathering to meet

GREENFIELD — Linda’s Gourd Patch Gathering invites interested persons to its next meeting Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 200 W. Mckenzie Road. Topic: Growing gourds by Rosemary Hill, member of Linda’s Gourd Patch, will present a program on growing gourds. Participants are invited to bring a pitch-in a snack. American Pickers to pass through Indiana

INDIANA — Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, the crew from “American Pickers,” the History Channel documentary series that explores antique picking, will be passing through Indiana during the month of October. They are looking for individuals who own large collections of rare items with interesting background stories. Riley Festival Home Arts & Quilt Show calls for entries

GREENFIELD — Crafters, bakers, collectors, quilters and more are invited to enter in the 2018 Riley Festival Home Arts and Quilt Show. Competition categories include baking, food preservation, quilts, sewing, needle craft, creative arts, Christmas, antiques and collectibles. Entries are due from noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Courthouse Annex, 111 American Legion Place.
