Children’s orchestra seeking enrollment

HANCOCK COUNTY — The newly-formed Hearts Ablaze Children’s Orchestra is looking for new members. The orchestra, directed by Cristy Corwin-Howard, is open to all instruments and for ages 8 through 18. The group meets at 6:45 p.m. Wednesdays at the Hearts Ablaze Studio, 3254 W. County Road 400 S., Greenfield. Students will need to bring an instrument and a collapsible music stand. Create a piece of library landscaping

GREENFIELD — Kids in grades 1 through 5 are invited to participate in a landscaping project at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Touch a Truck event at Harvest Church

GREENFIELD — Harvest Church, 6107 W. Airport Blvd., will host its fifth annual Touch a Truck experience from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature trucks from the community including a fire truck, a Hancock County SWAT truck, an ambulance and the Bubble Truck. Festival of Machines roars into Conner Prairie

FISHERS — Celebrate Indiana’s transportation history during the Festival of Machines, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Conner Prairie, 13400 Allisonville Road. This event features vintage cars, aircraft, military vehicles, steam engines, firetrucks and activities for kids. New this year will be the Classic Car Club of America Indiana Region’s Grand Classic, which will showcase some of the best vintage cars in Indiana.
