GREENFIELD

Larry B. Hunt, 73, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Walker Place in Shelbyville. He was born on February 7, 1945, in Shelbyville as the son of Donald L. and Helen R. (Pope) Hunt. He graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1963.

Mr. Hunt retired from Eli Lilly in 1993, after over 30 years. He was a supervisor at the time of retirement. Engaged in real estate sales from 1991-1997 and also worked for Pharmerica Long Term Pharmacy in Indianapolis from 1994-2013. Larry was a member of Curry’s Chapel UMC, Eden Lodge #477 F&AM, also, Elks Lodge #1720, FOP Lodge #140 and Moose Lodge #987, all of Greenfield. He was a former member of Murat Shrine and Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, Greenfield Country Club, New Palestine Lions Club, Sertoma of Greenfield, Indiana Sherriff’s Association and Sons of American Legion. Larry enjoyed playing Texas hold’em and watching NASCAR races. He was an avid Purdue fan and enjoyed watching them play in all sports. Larry most of all loved his family and cherished every moment he spent with them.

Larry is survived by his sons, Brent Hunt of Westfield and Steven Hunt of Greenfield; grandchildren, Zachary Hunt, Jordan (Kasey) Hunt, and Autumn (Daryl) Humble, Andrew Faust; great-granddaughter, Harper Humble; brother, Donovan (Roberta) Hunt of Knightstown and Philip (Sharon) Hunt of Greenfield; sister, Betty Sue (Earl) Haywood of Greenfield; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Helen Hunt; and his loving wife, Martha Hunt.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. with a Masonic service at 4:45 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the mortuary. Pastor Steve Ellis will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
