HANCOCK COUNTY — Both locations of the Hancock County Public Library are offering a special library card to any K — 12 teacher, substitute teacher or a home-school teacher within Hancock County. The cards, for professional use only, allow teachers to reserve DVDs for classroom use and offer extended loan periods for materials.
To register for a special teacher card, individuals must show appropriate identification, such as previous teacher card privileges, a school I.D. card, paycheck stub, letterhead or curriculum invoice. The non-transferable cards are issued for the length of the school year, including summer sessions, with an expiration date of August 31. All library circulation policies apply to the teacher registered on the card.
