To the editor:

My son is 18 years old and was selected for jury duty. We have both contacted the courts to let them know that he has started college and is living in the dorm, outside of Hancock County without transportation.

This paper has covered my son on multiple occasions for sports at Greenfield-Central High School, and now he will be missing practices at the NCAA level and classes, putting him behind in his studies. Terry Snow and his clerk have been very belligerent and said he needs to miss college for an indefinite amount of days to be a juror. If a poll were given in America, would any reasonable human being think this is an appropriate action by the court? You know people got out of the draft for war while they were college students and that was thought of as reasonable.
