IndyFringe in second weekend

INDIANAPOLIS — Back for its 14th year, IndyFringe presents an eclectic selection of performances, all under an hour daily from mid-afternoon on through Sunday. All eight venues are located within five minutes of each other in the Mass Ave Arts District. Shows with titles such as “Eat Your %#&%Fish Sticks!” (the story of a stay-at-home dad), “Paper Swords: a Musical,” “The Princess, the Witch and the Magic Socks” (kid-friendly), “Foot Worm, the Musical” and “The Supersonic Suffrage Story You Never Heard in School” (for age 16 and up). Pirates sail into town at Footlite

INDIANAPOLIS — The Young Artists of Footlite Musicals present “The Pirates of Penzance” through Sunday at Footlite Musicals, 1847 N. Alabama St. Set sail with this comic opera by Gilbert and Sullivan and young Frederic, an orphan who has mistakenly been apprenticed to a band of pirates. He disavows the pirates’ way of life and falls for the beautiful Mabel, daughter of the Major-General Stanley. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for youth. Visit footlite.org for show times.

The King and more play Beef & Boards

INDIANAPOLIS — “Million Dollar Quartet,” a Tony Award-winning musical captures a moment in history when a twist of fate brings singers and musicians Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever.
